Each year at the Jafakids AGM, our coaching team votes on a series of awards that recognise growth, dedication, teamwork, and performance across the club. These awards celebrate not just athletic success, but the spirit and values that make Jafakids such a strong riding community. The following awards are presented.
1. Rookie of the Year
Awarded to a first-year participant who has made a significant impact or contribution, showing skill and enthusiasm.
2. Most Improved
Given to the individual who has shown the greatest progress over the season or year — whether in skill, fitness, attitude, or understanding of MTB.
3. JAFA Dedication
Given to someone who shows extraordinary commitment, perseverance, and loyalty to Jafakids MTB Academy — through attendance and effort.
4. Club Rider of the Year / Team Player
Honors someone who consistently puts the team first, shows collaboration, encourages others, and contributes to team morale and cohesion.
5. Youth Coach of the Year
Recognizes an outstanding youth coach for their leadership, mentorship, development of riders, and overall positive impact on the team or program.
6. Coach of the Year
Recognizes an outstanding coach for their leadership, mentorship, development of riders, and overall positive impact on the team or program.
7. Thomas Award (Volunteer Award of the Year)
Honors a volunteer who has selflessly given their time and efforts to the club over the year. Named in honour of past president Thomas Neradt.
8. Supreme Male
Top performance award, recognizing the most outstanding male athlete overall, based on skill, dedication, and achievement.
9. Supreme Female
Top performance award, recognizing the most outstanding female athlete overall, based on skill, dedication, and achievement.
